Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competes with the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC Fighter and previous UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sport career in the form of an Muay Thai boxer. She left in 2018 the league and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's striking skills were superior and permitted her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. After this win, Antonina was awarded a UFC deal. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, to be fought by Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight. She won the initial bout by unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss after defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler with a back-naked choke. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn Cookagian, but she won Ariane Lipski's three fights. Antonina last week lost via TKO in round two to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
