Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) more popularly known as her real title Ari Lennox is an American musician and singer from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist associated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. The first single, Pho was released on the 21st of October, 2016 and was released on Dreamville Records. She began to gain notoriety. Shea Butter Baby released her first studio album on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox first uploaded her music on the internet in 2012. Her debut album Ariography and her mixtape debut in 2013, the mixtape Five Finger Discount. In 2014, she continued to release her music on the internet, including her self launched single Bound. The track Sweat it is part of Omen's Elephant Eyes album on July 21 2015. J. Cole was interested by her talent and was looking to collaborate together with Rihanna. Then, in December of 2008 it was announced that Rihanna had been contracted by Dreamville Records. On the record Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat alongside Cozz. The singer released Pho, her debut EP on October 21 in 2016. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change and also performed in her own 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as the opening artist. The year 2018 saw Ari Lennox guested on two tracks by EarthGang, on Nothing but the Best, and Bas, on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on July 16, 2018. The music video followed by a music video in September. On the 9th of November she dropped two more singles: forty Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. Then, in November 2013, she dropped No One as well as Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released as her first single on February 26, 2019 to accompany the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby appeared along with Cole in her Creed II sound track on November 16. The song was followed by the music video which debuted in February 20th, 2019 that surpassed three million views on YouTube within its first seven days. In December 2018 she performed on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour featuring 6LACK.
