Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music more as a hobby than a profession. Her parents advised her to compose. She acknowledges Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as her main influences. After her mom said that her songs could not only help her get noticed, however, they could also help others understand their importance to the world and appreciate what can be done with the songs She decided to start singing in public. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument, at six. She began writing music when she turned nine. It was not until she turned 14 when she shared her story with her parents. Aurora wasn't a dream. The only thing she loves is writing songs. She believes music can make people feel more relaxed.
